A Message from the Principals
There is no question that COVID-19 has changed the way we’re all living, working, and learning. On March 17, 2020, when the Ontario Ministry of Education announced that schools were closed, Hudson rose to the challenge and was well-prepared to ensure your child’s educational experience remained as seamless as possible, given the new way of learning.
From the start of this crisis, Hudson’s teachers and staff have been dedicated to the needs of our families by being available and supportive in multiple capacities, including teacher-student consults; helping students engage socially with their peers in new, online spaces; and helping our community readily adapt to technologies so that we may continue learning and thriving.
When Hudson students can return to the classroom full-time, our teachers will assess student learning in core subjects and resolve any potential gaps resulting from the shut-down. Currently, we continue to review our online teaching program, developing best practices that ensure students receive the quality learning experiences they’ve been accustomed to at Hudson.
To support our parents and students, we’ve compiled several resources and will continue to add to them as we gain new information. We are confident that our Hudson community will emerge stronger and more vibrant than ever as we continue to practice compassion, offer support, and implement new initiatives. We thank you for your continued feedback to our teachers and staff. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to reach out.
