Dear Grade 12s,
I hope everyone had a nice March Break, and that you are all finding ways to adjust to your online classes. I know that some of you are feeling particularly stressed right now, so I wanted to clarify a few things.
As of now, there has been no official update from OUAC regarding the current applications. As such, I will continue to update your marks accordingly, as they become available. Continue to work hard in your classes, as I know you all are, and I’m confident you will achieve great results.
At this point, many schools have sent out their first round of admission. As I have stressed, schools send out multiple rounds of admission, so if you are still waiting to hear from a program, hang in there! Many schools wait until the end of May to send out their final round, so there is still plenty of time. As you continue to receive offers keep track of important dates. Each offer letter will contain the conditions of your acceptance as well as the date by which you need to respond to the offer. Don’t let this date pass!
For those who are required to send in supplementary documents, such as English proficiency test scores, do your best to meet document deadlines. If the current closures are impacting your ability to meet these deadlines, please let me know and we can work that out on a case-by-case basis.
Finally, I am including a link to the Grad Review Survey, which is mandatory for all Grade 12s to complete. Please be sure to submit this to me by Friday, June 5th.
I have spoken to a few of you via Skype/Hangouts to answer specific questions related to your applications. Please remember that I am available to meet virtually, should you need any specific clarification, or just some time to vent. I understand that there is a lot of uncertainty and anxiety right now, but we need to do our best to stay focussed on what we can control.
Have a good weekend!
